DR Congo international striker Fiston Mayele has completed his move to Libyan giants Al Ahli Tripoli after leaving Egyptian side Pyramids FC.
The 31-year-old forward has signed a two-year contract with the Libyan club and will remain there until 2028.
Mayele became a free agent following the expiration of his contract with Pyramids, bringing an end to a successful spell in Egypt during which he established himself as an important figure in the club’s attack.
The Congolese striker brings considerable domestic and continental experience to Al Ahli Tripoli, having built a reputation as a reliable goalscorer in African club football.
His arrival is expected to strengthen the Libyan side’s attacking options, with the club counting on his goalscoring ability, movement and experience as they target success in the upcoming campaign.
According to reports, Mayele will earn $10 million over the two-year contract, equivalent to approximately $5 million per year.
The move represents another major chapter in the striker’s career, which has taken him across several African leagues.
Al Ahli Tripoli will now hope Mayele can quickly adapt to his new surroundings and reproduce the form that made him a key player for Pyramids FC.
