Matvey Safonov has been named the fourth-best goalkeeper in Paris Saint-Germain’s history this century by the Score 90 platform.
The ranking was compiled using two criteria: each goalkeeper’s peak level and the length of their time with the Paris club. Safonov’s performances for the Ligue 1 side were recognised despite the Russian goalkeeper still being in the early stages of his Paris Saint-Germain career.
The list places Gianluigi Donnarumma first, ahead of Keylor Navas. Salvatore Sirigu is third, with Safonov fourth and Mikael Landreau completing the top five.
Safonov is in his third season with Paris Saint-Germain. During his time with the Ligue 1 club, he has won nine trophies, including two UEFA Champions League titles.
