Mario Gila admits Milan’s second-half display against Atalanta was ‘bad’

Milan secured victory in the seventh round of Serie A but were made to work hard to hold on after a poor second-half performance against Atalanta.

Defender Mario Gila reflected on the match afterwards, saying: “The second half was bad.”

Milan had done enough to take the result, but Atalanta threatened to turn the game around after the interval. Gila acknowledged that his side’s performance deteriorated during the second period, despite ultimately keeping hold of the win.

The defender has played for Milan since last summer. Before joining the club, he represented Lazio.

Gila’s previous spell with Lazio included a decisive meeting with Milan last spring, when he scored the winning goal for his team against his current club. This time, however, he was involved in a Milan victory over Atalanta in the seventh round of Serie A.
