Kaizer Chiefs will stage two of their Betway Premiership home fixtures at Royal Bafokeng Stadium in Rustenburg this season.
The venue was confirmed on the club’s official fixture list, giving supporters in the North West another opportunity to watch Amakhosi in the region.
Kaizer Chiefs’ first match at Royal Bafokeng Stadium will be against Siwelele FC on 5 September. Their second fixture at the stadium is scheduled for 15 December, when TS Galaxy will travel to Rustenburg.
The move represents a return to a familiar venue for Kaizer Chiefs, who have played several matches at Royal Bafokeng Stadium in previous seasons. The stadium has also hosted major domestic and international fixtures.
The club’s other home matches in the Betway Premiership are expected to be played at their usual venues.
Kaizer Chiefs finished third in the 2025/26 Betway Premiership, a marked improvement on the previous campaign. Their progress was built on greater consistency, although the side endured a dip in form midway through the season before recovering to finish with their highest points tally in several years.
The team was guided by Nasreddine Nabi, Khalil Ben Youssef and Cedric Kaze during the campaign.
Flavio Silva was Kaizer Chiefs’ leading league scorer, finding the net 10 times in 31 appearances. Glody Lilepo also enjoyed a productive season, contributing nine goals.
Mfundo Vilakazi and Mduduzi Shabalala supplied creativity in the final third, while Lebohang Maboe brought balance and consistency to midfield during an impressive debut campaign.
Kaizer Chiefs also returned to the CAF Confederation Cup after winning the Nedbank Cup. They recorded notable Group D victories against ZESCO United and Al Masry but narrowly failed to reach the knockout phase.
Their third-place finish in the league nevertheless secured qualification for the continental competition again, giving the club another opportunity to compete in Africa next season.
Before turning their attention to the new Betway Premiership campaign, Kaizer Chiefs are preparing for their MTN8 quarter-final against Golden Arrows on Sunday.
The match will be played at FNB Stadium, with kick-off scheduled for 18:00.
