Italian giants Juventus are reportedly exploring the possibility of signing Mohamed Salah as the club prepares for a major rebuild following its absence from next season’s UEFA Champions League.
According to reports, Juventus are considering a sensational move for the Egyptian star on a free transfer once his contract with Liverpool FC expires in June.
Salah’s future remains one of the biggest talking points ahead of the summer transfer window, with the forward recently admitting that he plans to make a final decision about the next stage of his career after the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The Egyptian captain is expected to attract strong interest from several clubs across Europe and the Middle East, particularly after another successful spell at Liverpool where he established himself as one of the Premier League’s modern greats.
Reports also suggest that Juventus manager Luciano Spalletti is personally involved in attempts to convince Salah to join the Turin-based club.
Spalletti reportedly views the winger as the ideal player to lead Juventus back towards domestic and European competitiveness, believing his experience, leadership and attacking quality could transform the team immediately.
Despite the interest, the proposed move remains extremely complicated from a financial perspective.
One of the biggest obstacles concerns Salah’s salary expectations, with Juventus reportedly struggling to create enough financial room to compete with rival offers expected from elsewhere.
Clubs from the Saudi Pro League are also closely monitoring the situation and are believed to be prepared to offer significantly larger financial packages to secure the Egyptian star’s signature.
That growing competition could make negotiations particularly difficult for Juventus as they attempt to reshape their squad following a disappointing campaign.
Salah, meanwhile, remains focused on international duty with Egypt national football team ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, where Egypt will face Belgium, New Zealand and Iran during the group stage.
For now, no final decision has been made regarding the forward’s future, but Juventus’ reported interest confirms that the race for one of football’s most high-profile free agents is already intensifying.
