Ghana winger Bonsu Baah shines in Saudi Pro League

Christopher Bonsu Baah has been named Al Qadsiah’s Player of the Month for April after a series of influential performances for the Saudi Pro League club.

The Ghana international played a central role in an impressive run of results for Al Qadsiah during the month, helping the side secure a commanding victory over Al Riyadh as well as draws against Al Shabab and Damac.

The 21-year-old winger enjoyed his most productive spell since joining the Saudi club, scoring once and registering three assists across the month. His performances have further strengthened his importance within the squad as Al Qadsiah continue their push near the top end of the league table.

Managed by former Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers, Al Qadsiah currently occupy fourth place in the Saudi Pro League standings, with Bonsu Baah emerging as one of the side’s most influential attacking players.

The former KRC Genk winger has now contributed 14 league goals this season, including 11 assists, underlining his growing impact in Saudi Arabian football.

Bonsu Baah also carried his strong form into May, producing another assist in Al Qadsiah’s surprise victory over Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al Nassr. The result marked another significant moment in the club’s campaign and highlighted the Ghanaian’s consistency in the final third.

His performances are likely to attract attention ahead of Ghana’s upcoming international fixtures, although the winger is set to miss the Black Stars’ friendly match against Mexico later this month.

That absence will be a setback for newly appointed Ghana coach Carlos Queiroz, who had been expected to assess several players ahead of future competitions.

Despite missing the Mexico encounter, Bonsu Baah is expected to return in time for Ghana’s final warm-up match against Wales before the World Cup.

The winger’s recent displays will provide encouragement for Ghana supporters hoping to see attacking options emerge ahead of the tournament. His creativity has been particularly notable, with the majority of his goal contributions this season coming through assists.

Since moving to Saudi Arabia, Bonsu Baah has increasingly established himself as a regular performer for Al Qadsiah. April represented his strongest month yet, both in terms of statistics and overall influence on matches.

His recognition as Player of the Month reflects not only his individual form but also Al Qadsiah’s strong performances during a crucial stage of the season.

With the Saudi Pro League campaign entering its closing weeks, Al Qadsiah will hope the Ghanaian can maintain his momentum as they continue their pursuit of a high league finish.
