Nigerian defender Jude Nwankwo has joined Romanian side Unirea Tasnad on a free transfer from Gheorghe Doja.
The 24-year-old centre-back switches clubs within Romania after leaving Gheorghe Doja, finalising his move to Unirea Tasnad on 27 July 2026. The deal is a permanent free transfer, with the player moving without a fee between the two sides.
Nwankwo, who operates primarily at the heart of defence, adds depth to Unirea Tasnad’s back line as they reshape their squad ahead of the new campaign. His arrival from fellow Romanian outfit Gheorghe Doja keeps him in a familiar footballing environment while offering a fresh opportunity to establish himself.
Having spent his recent spell with Gheorghe Doja, Nwankwo now takes the next step of his career with Unirea Tasnad, remaining in the same national set-up but changing club colours as he looks to make an impact in central defence.
The move means Unirea Tasnad have secured the services of a 24-year-old Nigeria-born centre-back without paying a transfer fee.
