Ivory Coast U20s set for Tunisia double-header in key preparations

Ivory Coast’s under-20 national team will face Tunisia in two international friendlies later this month, as preparations intensify ahead of upcoming competitions.

The fixtures are scheduled to take place on 27 and 30 March 2026 at the Félix Houphouët-Boigny Stadium, providing the young squad with an opportunity to gain valuable match experience during the international break.

The matches are expected to play a significant role in the team’s development, offering players the chance to test their abilities against international opposition.

Preparations for the double-header begun earlier this week, with the team’s first session held on 23 March 2026.

Sessions before the game be held at the Lycée Classique d’Abidjan, where the players will undergo drills aimed at sharpening both their technical and tactical skills.

The squad is under the leadership of head coach Younes Zerdouk, who will oversee the training programme and assess player performance ahead of the two fixtures. The friendlies are expected to give him a clearer picture of his team’s strengths and areas requiring improvement.

Training sessions leading up to the matches are expected to focus on preparation and team organisation, as the coaching staff works to ensure the squad is ready for the challenge posed by Tunisia.

With the countdown to the fixtures underway, attention will now turn to how effectively the players can translate their training into performance on the pitch.

The outcomes of these matches could provide valuable insights as the team continues its preparations for future competitions.
