Ibra Camara has joined Icelandic club Grindavik from Spanish side UD Barbastro on a free transfer, giving the Spain and Guinea midfielder a new chapter in the Lengjudeild.
Camara, 31, made the move on 31 July 2026 after one season with Barbastro. He had joined the Segunda Federacion club on a free transfer in July 2025, having previously left Icelandic side Njardvik without a fee in March of that year.
The central midfielder now returns to Iceland, where he spent the 2023-24 season with Njardvik. That move followed his departure from CD Ebro, another free transfer completed in July 2023.
Camara began his senior career with Andorra CF before moving to AD Sabinanigo in 2018. He then joined CD Teruel in 2019 and later switched to Bouzas in January 2022. His career has therefore included spells in Spain and Iceland, with Grindavik becoming his latest club.
Born in Conakry, Camara holds Spanish and Guinean nationality. He stands 1.80m tall, plays in central midfield and is right-footed.
His arrival takes him into the Icelandic second tier, known as the Lengjudeild, following his time in Spain’s Segunda Federacion. Grindavik’s move was completed without a transfer fee, and no contract length has been disclosed.
Camara has now formally completed his move from UD Barbastro to Grindavik.
