Hamza El-Gamal appointed Al-Ittihad Alexandria head coach ahead of new season

Al-Ittihad Alexandria have officially appointed Hamza El-Gamal as the club’s new head coach as they begin preparations for the upcoming season.

The decision was announced by the club’s board of directors, led by Mohamed Salama, as part of efforts to strengthen the team’s technical setup and provide stability ahead of future competitions.

In an official statement, the club expressed confidence in El-Gamal’s experience and coaching abilities, highlighting his track record and leadership qualities as key factors behind the appointment.

The board believes the former coach has the technical expertise required to guide the team towards achieving its objectives and meeting the expectations of Al-Ittihad Alexandria’s supporters.

“This decision comes in support of the first team’s development and reflects our confidence in Hamza El-Gamal’s extensive experience and technical competence,” the club said. “We believe he is capable of leading the team towards fulfilling the ambitions of its fans and restoring Al-Ittihad Alexandria to its rightful position.”

The club has also confirmed that an official press conference will be held on Sunday at 6:00 p.m. local time at Al-Ittihad Alexandria’s Smouha branch.

During the event, El-Gamal will be formally presented to the media and supporters, while the complete technical and administrative staff that will assist him during his tenure will also be unveiled.

The appointment represents one of the first major decisions taken by Al-Ittihad Alexandria’s board ahead of the new campaign as the club seeks to establish continuity and create a stable environment for the squad.

With the coaching position now resolved, attention will shift towards preparations for the season and the club’s efforts to build a competitive team capable of achieving its targets in domestic competitions.
