Franck Rivollier: France-Cameroon striker returns to Hapoel Petah Tikva on free transfer from Maccabi Petah Tikva

France-Cameroon forward Franck Rivollier has rejoined Hapoel Petah Tikva from city rivals Maccabi Petah Tikva on a free transfer. The 25-year-old centre-forward, who stands at 1.92m and plays predominantly with his right foot, has signed a deal running until 30 June 2027.

Rivollier heads back to Hapoel just a year after leaving the club, switching across Petah Tikva following his spell in the Israeli top flight. He previously helped Hapoel Petah Tikva to the Israeli second-tier title, collecting a league winners’ medal before moving on in July 2025.

Born in Saint-Etienne, Rivollier brings with him substantial experience of Israeli football, having made 84 appearances and scored 21 goals in Liga Leumit across his time in the country. He also has experience in cup competitions, scoring twice in four Coupe de France outings earlier in his career and netting in the Bulgarian Cup.

Before arriving in Israel, Rivollier developed in France and Belgium, featuring for Stade Rennais and Stade Briochin before moving to Olympic Charleroi and then making the jump to Hapoel Afula. Free transfers have marked much of his career path, with successive moves taking him from France to Belgium, Bulgaria and then Israel.

Rivollier’s market value is currently assessed at around €150,000, and his return gives Hapoel Petah Tikva a familiar focal point in attack as they prepare for the new campaign in Ligat ha’Al. The deal confirms his second stint at the club, tying him to Hapoel Petah Tikva until the end of the 2026-27 season.
