Fenerbahce weigh Ismaila Sarr against Marcus Rashford and Rafael Leao

Fenerbahce are considering Ismaila Sarr as they search for a new striker, but the Crystal Palace forward faces competition from Marcus Rashford and Rafael Leao for a possible move to Turkey.

Sarr is one of the attacking options being assessed by the Turkish club, who are reportedly determined to strengthen their forward line. The Senegal international has emerged as a possible target after scoring four goals in four matches for Senegal at the 2026 World Cup.

However, Fenerbahce are not focused solely on Sarr. According to The Sun, the club also have Rashford and Leao on their list of potential recruits as they look to bring a new striker to Turkey.

Rashford returned to Manchester United this summer following his loan spell at FC Barcelona. Despite going back to the Red Devils, the England forward’s long-term future at the club remains uncertain.

That uncertainty has placed Rashford among the attacking players Fenerbahce could consider. His situation at Manchester United means he is viewed as another possible option for a club seeking to add quality and competition in attack.

Leao is also being considered by Fenerbahce. The Portugal forward is listed alongside Rashford and Sarr as the club assess which player they want to pursue.

Fenerbahce would like to sign one of the three attacking targets. Sarr could therefore be the player chosen to make the move to Turkey, although the club’s selection has not yet been settled.

For Sarr, the interest comes after a productive World Cup campaign with Senegal. His four goals in four matches have made him one of the players being examined by Fenerbahce as they weigh up their options in the forward position.

The Turkish side’s interest means the Crystal Palace player has two prominent rivals for the role. Rashford’s return to Manchester United has not removed doubts about his future, while Leao remains another name on Fenerbahce’s shortlist.

The club are consequently faced with a choice between three forwards: Sarr, Rashford and Leao. Their intention is to attract one of them to Turkey, with Sarr potentially emerging as the preferred candidate.
