Felix Uduokhai, the Germany- and Nigeria-eligible defender currently at Besiktas, is being linked with a move to Bundesliga side Werder Bremen as the German club explores options to bolster its back line.
The 28-year-old centre-back, who joined Besiktas on a permanent deal from Augsburg on 1 July 2025 after an initial loan spell, is under contract with the Istanbul club until 30 June 2027. Any transfer negotiations would therefore require agreement with Besiktas, but Bremen’s interest is understood to centre on the potential value of a player whose current estimated market price stands at around €3.5 million.
Uduokhai has yet to feature in Besiktas’s 2026–27 UEFA Europa League qualifying campaign, with no appearances recorded in the early stages of the season. That lack of recent competitive minutes could open the door to discussions, particularly with Bremen looking within the Bundesliga market for experienced defensive cover rather than a long-term project.
The left-footed centre-back, born in Annaberg-Buchholz and standing at 1.93m, has spent the bulk of his senior career in Germany, notably with Augsburg and Wolfsburg after coming through the 1860 Munich system. His familiarity with the league and its demands is seen as a key part of the appeal for Bremen as they weigh up a possible approach.
For now, the chances of a deal are described as relatively low, with the probability of a transfer put at around 10%, and Besiktas retaining the leverage of a contract running for another year beyond this season.
