Faik Amrane: Algerian-French playmaker joins USM Khenchela on free transfer

Algerian-French attacking midfielder Faik Amrane has joined USM Khenchela on a free transfer from MB Rouissat. The 28-year-old moves within Algeria’s top flight after leaving his previous club at the end of last season.

Amrane, who was born in Merouana and stands at 1.75m, arrives at USM Khenchela as an experienced creative option in the centre of the pitch. Naturally right-footed and specialising in the No 10 role, he adds attacking midfield depth for his new side ahead of the 2026-27 campaign.

The switch continues a career spent entirely in Algerian football for the dual national, who holds both Algerian and French nationality. Before his stint with MB Rouissat, Amrane played for NC Magra and JS Kabylie, moving between the two clubs on a series of free transfers that kept him a regular presence in Ligue 1.

Earlier in his career he featured for CS Constantine following a move from CA Batna, establishing himself in the domestic game and earning a sequence of opportunities at top-flight level. His most recent transfer comes with an estimated market value of around €200,000, underlining his status as a seasoned top-tier midfielder.

Amrane’s arrival at USM Khenchela was finalised on 21 July 2026, with the attacking midfielder now registered as part of the club’s squad for the forthcoming season.
