Egypt striker Samir Mohamed has joined Petrojet from Al Ahly, returning to the club after a loan spell and signing a contract until 30 June 2029.
The 22-year-old centre-forward moves back to Petrojet after spending the 2025-26 season with the Egyptian Premier League side. Mohamed made 14 league appearances during the campaign and also featured in the relegation play-off, the Egyptian League Cup and the CAF Champions League.
He played nine times in the relegation play-off and made six appearances in the League Cup, where he provided one assist. Mohamed also made a brief appearance in the CAF Champions League, recording one minute in the competition.
The move brings the Egypt-born forward back to Petrojet after he returned to Al Ahly at the end of his initial loan. He had joined Petrojet from Al Ahly on 3 August 2025 before moving back to his parent club on 30 June 2026.
Mohamed developed through Al Ahly’s youth system, progressing from the club’s under-19 side to the under-21 team before joining the senior squad in September 2024. He was part of the Al Ahly squad that won the Egyptian championship in the 2024-25 season.
Born in Tanta on 4 September 2003, Mohamed stands 1.87m tall and operates primarily as a centre-forward. He is right-footed and returns to a Petrojet side with which he gained regular senior experience during the previous campaign.
His new contract keeps him at Petrojet through the end of June 2029, formalising his return to the club on 15 August 2026.
