Portugal-Angola winger Edgar Pacheco has joined Atletico CP on a free transfer from Luxembourg side Differdange 03. The 26-year-old left-sided attacker has signed a deal with the Lisbon club running until 30 June 2027.
Pacheco, who was born in Seixal and plays primarily as a left winger, makes the switch back to Portuguese football after a spell in the BGL Ligue. His move continues a career that has taken him from youth and reserve football in Portugal to senior stints abroad in Bulgaria and Luxembourg.
The right-footed wide player arrived at Differdange 03 in July 2025 after a short period without a club, and went on to be part of the side that lifted the Luxembourg Cup in the 2025-26 campaign. He heads to Atletico CP with a current market value of €100,000.
Before moving to Luxembourg, Pacheco played for Cherno More Varna, where he helped the Bulgarian club finish league runners-up in 2024. That move to Bulgaria in 2023 followed his progression through the ranks at B SAD, having stepped up from their under-23 team to the senior side in 2022.
Pacheco’s early development came in Portugal with Real SC and Belenenses at youth level before a spell with Alverca’s under-19s, prior to his move into the B SAD system. His new contract at Atletico CP ties him to the Liga 3 outfit until the end of the 2026-27 season.
