Nigerian defender Ebuka Nneji has joined Tajikistan side Ravshan Kulob on a free transfer from Belarusian club Krumkachi. The 23-year-old centre-back moves to the Vysshaya Liga outfit after a short spell in Belarusian football and will add depth to the heart of Ravshan’s defence.
Nneji, who was born in Akegbe Ugwu and stands at 1.83m, has built his senior career in Eastern Europe over the past few seasons. He joined Krumkachi in January 2026 from fellow Belarusian side Orsha, also on a free transfer, before making the latest move to Central Asia on 29 July 2026.
Before linking up with Orsha, Nneji had spells with Slonim, initially signing there in March 2025 after a brief period without a club. That came after his first stint with Slonim ended in August 2023, when he again left as a free agent. His repeated returns to professional football have established him as a player willing to adapt to different environments and leagues.
The centre-back’s most recent competitive action came in the Belarusian Cup, where he featured in two ties, starting both and playing the majority of available minutes while picking up one yellow card. Those outings provided his final appearances in Belarus before agreeing his move to Ravshan Kulob.
Nneji now links up with his new teammates ahead of the upcoming Vysshaya Liga campaign, joining Ravshan Kulob as a free-transfer signing from Krumkachi.
