Cristiano Ronaldo’s cryptic signal sparks fresh questions among Al-Nassr supporters

Cristiano Ronaldo has left Al-Nassr supporters trying to work out the meaning of a cryptic hand signal after his side’s 1-0 victory over Neom in the Roshn Saudi League.

The Portugal forward was filmed making the gesture as he left Al-Awwal Park in Riyadh following Tuesday’s 10th-round match.

Al-Nassr shared the video on its official account on X, adding the caption: “Ronaldo is asking you: Guess… what is this?”

The post prompted a series of theories from supporters in the comments, although no definitive explanation emerged for the signal.

Ronaldo started the match against Neom but was unable to produce his best performance. He missed a penalty in first-half stoppage time, yet remained on the pitch until the final whistle and was not substituted.

The result secured a narrow win for Al-Nassr, with the club recording a 1-0 victory over their visitors at their Riyadh home.

Ronaldo’s future at the club has also been the subject of discussion. His name has been linked with a possible acquisition of 20% of Al-Nassr’s shares, amid reports that US company RedBird Capital is seeking to obtain a 70% stake in the club.

RedBird Capital owns Milan.

The 41-year-old has played 10 matches for Al-Nassr since the start of the current season, scoring five goals. That gives him a rate of one goal every two games.
