Premier League club Coventry have signed Guinea centre-forward Sidiki Cherif from Fenerbahce for €24.5 million.
The 19-year-old striker moves to England after only a brief spell in Turkey, having joined Fenerbahce from Angers SCO on 1 July 2026 for €18 million.
Cherif made just one appearance for Fenerbahce this season, featuring for three minutes in Champions League qualifying. He did not make a Super Lig appearance before completing his move to Coventry.
The Guinean initially joined Fenerbahce on loan from Angers at the start of the 2025-26 campaign. The agreement included a €4 million loan fee, before the Turkish club made the move permanent at the end of the season.
Born in Dubreka, Cherif developed his football career in France after joining the Angers academy. He progressed through the club’s youth system before making the step up to the senior squad in 2023.
Standing at 1.88 metres, the right-footed forward arrives at Coventry with a market value of around €18 million.
His arrival provides Coventry with a young central attacking option as they compete in the Premier League.
Cherif’s move was completed on 19 August 2026, just weeks after his permanent transfer to Fenerbahce, bringing an unexpectedly short spell in Turkey to an end.
The Guinea international will now look to establish himself in England and continue the development that has already seen his transfer value rise significantly.
