Chelsea and Spurs Eye €35m-Rated Trabzonspor Midfielder Oulaï

Christ Inao Oulaï could become one of the biggest transfer stories of the summer after Trabzonspor reportedly placed a €35 million valuation on the highly-rated midfielder following his impressive breakthrough season in Turkish football.

The 20-year-old Ivorian midfielder enjoyed a remarkable debut campaign after arriving from SC Bastia last summer, quickly establishing himself as one of the club’s most important players despite his age.

Oulaï adapted rapidly to life in Turkey and became a regular presence in Trabzonspor’s midfield throughout the season, helping the club secure Turkish Cup success while continuing to attract growing attention from across Europe.

The midfielder made 31 appearances in all competitions, scoring two goals and registering four assists during an impressive first year at the club.

His performances have reportedly alerted several major clubs ahead of the summer transfer window, with Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur among the Premier League sides said to be monitoring his situation closely.

Portuguese giants S.L. Benfica have also reportedly entered the race for the young midfielder, further increasing competition for one of Africa’s fastest-rising talents.

According to Turkish outlet TRT Spor, several clubs have already submitted offers worth more than €30 million as interest in the player continues to intensify.

Trabzonspor are understood to be willing to listen to proposals but are reportedly determined to secure a fee closer to €35 million if they decide to part ways with the midfielder this summer.

The Yopougon-born player’s rapid rise has transformed him into one of the most talked-about young African footballers currently playing in Europe.

His ability to settle quickly into Turkish football, combined with his composure, energy and technical quality in midfield, has significantly boosted his reputation across the continent.

Trabzonspor now face growing pressure as Europe’s elite clubs continue positioning themselves ahead of possible negotiations.

The Turkish side may ultimately find it difficult to resist major offers if bidding intensifies during the transfer window, particularly given the player’s increasing market value after only one season at the club.

Oulaï’s valuation could rise even further if he impresses with Ivory Coast national football team at the upcoming FIFA World Cup.

With interest building from England and Portugal, the coming weeks could determine whether Trabzonspor cash in on one of African football’s most exciting emerging midfield talents or attempt to keep hold of him for another season.
