Bayern Munich have confirmed that Michael Olise is available to face Atletico Madrid in the Champions League on Tuesday, 03 November 2026, after recovering from a knee injury.
The France winger was forced off during Bayern’s 2-2 draw with Borussia Dortmund on Saturday after suffering an injury to his right knee. His early departure had raised concerns that he could miss the club’s European fixture.
However, Olise returned to full team training on Monday morning. Bayern subsequently confirmed on their official social media channels that he had recovered sufficiently to travel with the squad for the match at Wanda Metropolitano.
His return provides a boost for head coach Vincent Kompany before the meeting with Atletico Madrid, although Bayern will still be without several important players.
Manuel Neuer is also back in contention after missing Bayern’s previous three matches. The experienced goalkeeper’s return gives Kompany another option for the difficult away fixture.
Bayern will, however, be without Luis Diaz and Jamal Musiala, as well as Ismaila Saibari and Serge Gnabry. Their absences could lead Kompany to make changes to his starting line-up.
The match between Atletico Madrid and Bayern Munich is scheduled for Tuesday, 03 November 2026, in the Champions League.
