Bayer Leverkusen’s Kofane pauses contract talks amid Arsenal and Manchester United interest

Bayer Leverkusen forward Kofane has put negotiations over a new contract on hold, according to Bild, with Arsenal and Manchester United both interested in signing him.

The two parties had been discussing an extension that would have kept Kofane at Bayer Leverkusen until 2031. The proposed agreement appeared close to being completed in early September, but it has not been finalised.

Under the terms being considered, Kofane’s annual salary could have risen to as much as 4 million euros. However, Bild reports that the forward has now halted the talks as interest from Arsenal and Manchester United continues.
