Burkina Faso international Stephane Aziz Ki has brought his brief stay at Libyan club Al-Ittihad to an end and is set to embark on a new chapter with Tanzanian side Young Africans after weeks of negotiations between the two clubs.
The attacking midfielder’s departure marks a swift conclusion to a move that generated considerable attention when he joined Al-Ittihad in January 2026 from Morocco’s Wydad Athletic Club on a contract that had been expected to run until the summer of 2027.
Instead, the 30-year-old has opted to return to Tanzania, where he previously enjoyed the most successful period of his club career on the African continent.
Young Africans have now reached an agreement to bring the Burkinabe playmaker back, ending his short-lived spell in Libya and strengthening their squad ahead of the 2026-27 season.
The transfer follows a period of intensive negotiations, with the Tanzanian club successfully completing discussions to secure the midfielder’s return.
Although the move has yet to be officially announced, Aziz Ki has already travelled to Tanzania and has begun training with his new teammates.
His appearance in group training sessions is viewed as a clear indication that preparations for the forthcoming campaign are already under way while the remaining administrative procedures and formal signing are completed.

Those figures represented a productive return for an attacking midfielder, but they were not enough to help Al-Ittihad achieve their primary objective of reclaiming the domestic league title.
The Libyan club finished another season without winning the championship, extending their wait for the league crown to four years.
