Chidozie Awaziem, the Nigeria-Portugal centre-back currently at FC Nantes, is being linked with a move to Turkish Super Lig side Konyaspor. The 29-year-old, who plays in Ligue 2 with the French club, has emerged as a defensive option for the Konya outfit as they look to strengthen ahead of the new campaign.
Discussions over a potential deal are understood to be at a speculative stage, with the likelihood of a transfer currently assessed at 47%. No agreement is in place, but Konyaspor are monitoring the situation closely as they weigh up whether to formalise their interest.
Awaziem, whose market value is estimated at around €2.5 million, is under contract at Nantes until 30 June 2028, meaning any move would require the Turkish club to satisfy the French side’s valuation.
