Antonio Conte wants Manchester United job amid Michael Carrick uncertainty

Antonio Conte wants to become Manchester United manager and is prepared to return to the Premier League, according to journalist Daniele Longo.

The 57-year-old Italian is being linked with replacing Michael Carrick at Old Trafford, with the current Red Devils boss facing possible dismissal if the team’s results do not improve in the near future.

Conte has previously managed Premier League clubs Chelsea and Tottenham. He has been out of work since leaving Napoli in June this year.

Manchester United suffered a 2-0 defeat by Atletico Madrid in the Champions League on Tuesday.
