Pavlovic defends Bayern team-mate Olise after Champions League dismissal

Bayern Munich midfielder Aleksandar Pavlovic says team-mate Michael Olise is “not at all like he is portrayed” after the France international was sent off in their 3-3 Champions League draw with Viking.

Olise was shown two yellow cards in quick succession during the match. The first came for a foul on an opponent, before he was dismissed for throwing the ball into the face of a player from the Norwegian side.

Pavlovic has now spoken about Olise’s character, suggesting the Bayern Munich winger’s public image does not reflect his personality.

The 23-year-old has made nine appearances for Bayern Munich in all competitions this season. He has scored eight goals and provided four assists.

Olise joined Bayern Munich after moving from Crystal Palace and has quickly established himself as an influential player for the German club. His latest appearance ended prematurely, however, after the two incidents resulted in his dismissal against Viking.
