AC Milan are seeking a swift exit solution for midfielder Warren Bondo, with Stuttgart, Everton and Eintracht Frankfurt now closely monitoring the 22-year-old’s situation.
Bondo has returned to Milan after a season-long loan at Cremonese but is not part of new head coach Ruben Amorim’s plans and has been left out of the first-team training camp at Milanello. Instead, the Franco-Congolese midfielder is currently working away from the main group while the club look for a deal that suits both player and club.
Milan, who are actively trimming their squad, are hoping to finalise his departure during the current transfer window and have set an asking price of between €7m and €8m for a permanent move.
New interest emerges
Initial reports had linked Bondo with Udinese and Watford, both owned by the Pozzo family, but new contenders have now joined the chase.
According to Italian journalist Nicolo Schira, Stuttgart, Everton and Eintracht Frankfurt have all started to follow Bondo’s situation with increased attention in recent days.
VfB Stuttgart have already opened talks to explore whether a deal is feasible for the midfielder, who came through the academy at Nancy before moving to Italy. Discussions are understood to be at an exploratory stage as the Bundesliga club assess the financial and sporting parameters of a potential transfer.
Milan’s stance and contract details
Milan’s hierarchy are keen to move quickly and capitalise on the interest in Bondo, with the club viewing his sale as part of their broader summer squad restructuring under Amorim.
Despite being out of the first-team picture, Bondo remains under contract with the Rossoneri until 2029, giving Milan a strong negotiating position over any transfer fee.
The player’s market value is currently listed at €6m on Transfermarkt, slightly below the figure Milan are hoping to secure, but the club are holding out for a bid in the €7m-€8m range before agreeing to let him go.
