Al Qadsiah name star-studded XI as Riyadh turn to Trezeguet for Saudi Pro League test

Al Qadsiah will rely on a line-up packed with international and domestic talent when they host Riyadh in the 12th round of the Roshn Saudi League tonight.

The hosts are targeting three points to strengthen their position in the battle at the top of the table, while Riyadh will look to their defensive organisation and experienced professionals to produce an upset away from home.

Casteels captains Al Qadsiah

Al Qadsiah have selected an attacking starting XI led by Belgium international goalkeeper Koen Casteels, who has also been named captain.

Casteels starts behind a defence of Mohammed Abu Al Shamat, Gaston Alvarez, Jihad Zakri and Mohammed Al Shahrani.

The midfield includes Nacho Fernandez Weigl, Christopher Bonsu Baah, Tijjani Reijnders and Musab Al Juwayr, with Julian Quinones and Abdullah Al Salem forming the front two.

Al Qadsiah’s substitutes are Al Kassaar, Al Ammar, Al Qahtani, Al Jaber, Eyad, Sangare, Al Sayahi, Al Aliwa and Sane.

The side will hope their considerable attacking options can turn possession and pressure into the victory required to maintain their challenge near the top of the Roshn Saudi League.

Trezeguet starts for Riyadh

Riyadh manager Mauricio Dolak has responded with a balanced team featuring veteran goalkeeper Milan Borjan and Egypt forward Mahmoud Trezeguet.

Borjan is protected by a back four of Ahmed Asiri, Awad Dahal, Dino Arascal and Khaled Al Mijrashi.

Qasim Lajami, Victor, Sekou Keita and Fahad Al Rashidi make up the midfield, while Bernard Mensah, Oko and Trezeguet lead the attack.

Riyadh’s bench consists of Jan Petek, Suleiman Hazzazi, Osama Al Bawardi, Hassan Al Ali, Hussein Al Sharafa, Yasser Al Mousa, Faisal Al Mabkhi, Sultan Al Issa and Ammar Bahri.

The visitors will look to contain Al Qadsiah’s attacking threat before using the pace and experience in their forward line to seek a result.

Both teams also have further fixtures listed for early November. Al Qadsiah are scheduled to face Al Gharafa in the AFC Champions League Elite on 02 November 2026, before meeting Al Fateh in the Roshn Saudi League on 06 November 2026.

Riyadh are also listed to play Al Fateh in the Roshn Saudi League on 06 November 2026.
