European clubs circle as AC Milan open door for Christopher Nkunku exit

AC Milan are reportedly prepared to part ways with Christopher Nkunku this summer, less than a year after the forward arrived from Chelsea FC.

According to reports in the Italian media, Milan’s management have already informed the player and his representatives of their position regarding his future at the club.

The Rossoneri are said to be demanding around €40 million to sanction a transfer for the 28-year-old, although some reports suggest the asking price could be slightly lower.

Nkunku remains under contract with Milan until 2030, but his first season in Italy has reportedly failed to fully convince the club’s hierarchy despite flashes of quality throughout the campaign.

The French international has scored six goals and registered three assists in 32 appearances across all competitions since joining the Serie A giants last summer.

While his versatility and technical quality have been evident at times, consistency has reportedly been a concern as Milan continue evaluating changes ahead of next season.

Several clubs are already being linked with the forward, including Fenerbahçe SK, AS Roma and Atlético Madrid.

Nkunku arrived in Milan with significant expectations following his spell in England, but speculation surrounding his future has intensified in recent weeks as the club prepares for a potentially busy transfer window.

Milan’s willingness to listen to offers suggests the Serie A side could be open to reshaping parts of their attacking department, particularly if a suitable bid arrives for the Frenchman.

With interest already emerging from clubs across Europe and Türkiye, Nkunku’s situation is expected to be one of the stories to watch during the summer transfer market.
