Ismaily offers 2,000 free tickets to rally fans for crucial clash

Ismaily SC has announced the distribution of 2,000 complimentary tickets to supporters ahead of a crucial Nile League encounter against Modern Sport FC, as the club seeks to strengthen backing during a decisive phase of the season.

The initiative was confirmed by the committee currently overseeing the club’s affairs, led by Mohamed Raouf. The move comes as Ismaily prepares to host Modern Sport on Friday evening in the sixth round of the relegation play-offs.

Fans urged to rally behind the team

The match is scheduled to take place at Ismaily Stadium at 20:00 local time, with both sides aiming to secure vital points in their fight to avoid relegation from the Egyptian Nile League.

In an official statement, the club emphasised the importance of its supporters, describing them as a central pillar of the team’s identity and success.

“The committee appointed to manage Ismaily Club announces its sincere appreciation and gratitude to the club’s loyal fans who represent the team’s primary support at all times. Based on the committee’s belief in the great role played by our great fans and their continuous support, we are pleased to offer 2000 tickets for the upcoming Modern Sport match, in appreciation of this continuous support.”

The decision reflects an effort to boost attendance and morale as the team navigates a challenging period in the league campaign.

Distribution plans and entry requirements

Club officials outlined specific arrangements for the ticket distribution process, stating that fans would be able to collect tickets from designated outlets at the stadium both on the evening prior to the match and on match day itself. Additional distribution channels will also be announced via selected individuals through their personal social media platforms.

He continued: “Tickets will be distributed through three outlets at the club’s stadium this evening and tomorrow, in addition to distribution through some people who will be announced through their personal pages. Please note that no ticket will be issued or entry to the match will be permitted without showing an ID card. Together always behind our club, for its name and history.”

The requirement to present valid identification has been highlighted as a mandatory condition for both ticket collection and stadium entry.

High stakes in relegation play-offs

Friday’s fixture carries significant weight as part of the relegation phase of the competition, where every point could prove decisive. Ismaily’s gesture is widely seen as an attempt to harness the energy of its fan base, often referred to as the “Darawish”, to inspire the team on the pitch.

With pressure mounting in the closing stages of the season, the club’s leadership appears to be banking on strong home support to help secure a positive result. The outcome of the match could play a pivotal role in shaping Ismaily’s prospects of maintaining its status in Egypt’s top flight.
