AEK Athens have denied reports linking the Greek club with a move for Algerian international Akrem Bouras.
The 24-year-old Levski Sofia defender has attracted interest from several European clubs in recent weeks, with teams in France, Switzerland, Belgium and Greece reportedly monitoring his situation.
Olympiacos are understood to have shown concrete interest, while Bouras’ name was also linked with AEK Athens.
However, Greek sources close to AEK have reportedly dismissed the connection, insisting that the club has made no contact with Bouras or anyone claiming to represent the player.
Despite the clarification, Bouras remains a highly regarded prospect following an impressive season with Levski Sofia.
His market value is now estimated at close to €2 million, a figure that would reportedly satisfy the Bulgarian club’s demands should a serious offer arrive.
Bouras is currently sidelined with a muscle injury but could return in time for an intriguing Champions League encounter.
Levski Sofia are set to face AEK Athens in the final qualifying round of the Champions League, potentially giving Bouras the opportunity to face the club with which he has recently been linked.
For now, Olympiacos remain the more concrete Greek connection, while AEK have made it clear that no talks have taken place.
