Barcelona consider move for Arsenal defender Piero Hincapie

Barcelona are considering a move for Arsenal defender Piero Hincapie, according to Diario SPORT.

The 24-year-old Ecuador international is reportedly on Barcelona’s list of potential targets, with sporting director Deco already contacting the player’s representatives to discuss a possible move during the winter transfer window.

However, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta does not want to allow Hincapie to leave the club in January, the report says.

Hincapie has made only seven appearances for Arsenal in all competitions this season, playing a total of 256 minutes. Just 46 of those minutes have come in the Premier League.

Transfermarkt values the defender at 50m euros.
