Trevoh Chalobah, the England and Sierra Leone defender currently at Chelsea, is being linked with a move to Serie A side Como as the Italian club explore options to strengthen their back line.
Talk of a transfer has gathered pace in recent days, with the chances of a deal currently rated at 53%. Chalobah, 27, is under contract at Stamford Bridge until 30 June 2028 and is valued at around €40m, meaning any agreement would require Como to structure a significant package to tempt Chelsea into a sale.
The centre-back has established himself at Premier League level, making 117 top-flight appearances and scoring 10 goals, and also has experience in European competition with 17 Champions League outings to his name. He was part of the Chelsea squad that lifted the FIFA Club World Cup in both 2022 and 2025, underlining his exposure to high-level fixtures.
Chalobah returned to Chelsea’s first-team group in January 2025 after a loan spell at Crystal Palace earlier that season, having previously gained senior experience in France with Lorient and in the Championship with Huddersfield and Ipswich during earlier stages of his career.
Born in Freetown and standing at 1.92m, Chalobah has come through Chelsea’s youth system, progressing from the club’s youth and under-18 sides to the senior set-up in 2021. With two years still to run on his current deal, Chelsea are under no pressure to sell, and any move to Como remains at the rumour stage as things stand.
