Eintracht Frankfurt are weighing up a move for Tunisian-German forward Louey Ben Farhat from Karlsruher SC, with the 20-year-old second striker under consideration for a step up from the 2. Bundesliga to the Bundesliga.
The Frankfurt hierarchy are monitoring Ben Farhat after a breakthrough campaign in which he scored nine goals and supplied two assists in 33 league appearances for Karlsruhe, operating predominantly as a second striker. Internal assessments currently put the likelihood of a deal at just under 60%, with the Bundesliga club exploring whether Karlsruher’s valuation can be matched.
Ben Farhat is under contract with Karlsruher SC until 30 June 2029, a long-term agreement that strengthens the 2. Bundesliga side’s position in any negotiations. He is currently valued at around €10 million, and Karlsruhe are expected to demand a significant fee to part with a player regarded as a central figure in their attack.
Born in Waiblingen and eligible for both Tunisia and Germany, Ben Farhat joined Karlsruher’s academy from Stuttgarter Kickers’ youth ranks in 2022 before being promoted to the first team on 1 January 2025. His return of a goal every 198 minutes in the league last season has made him one of the most closely watched young forwards outside the top flight.
For now, Ben Farhat remains a key member of Karlsruhe’s squad as they prepare for the new 2. Bundesliga campaign, with the club under no pressure to sell given the length of his current deal.
