DR Congo winger Glody Lilepo of Kaizer Chiefs is being linked with a move to Libyan Premier League side Al-Nasr in what would be his next step after establishing himself in South Africa’s Betway Premiership. The 28-year-old, who is under contract at Chiefs until 30 June 2027, is attracting interest after his performances on the right flank and recent success in domestic competition.
Lilepo joined Kaizer Chiefs from French side Valenciennes in January 2025 for a reported €500,000 fee and has since become a regular in the Premier Division. He has made 42 league appearances for Chiefs, scoring 11 goals and providing five assists, underlining his attacking contribution from wide areas.
Before moving to South Africa, the Kinshasa-born forward gained experience in France’s Ligue 2 with Valenciennes, having previously played in continental competition with AS Vita Club and Sudanese club Al-Hilal. His record in the CAF Champions League, where he scored eight goals in 16 appearances, helped build his reputation as an effective performer on the African stage.
At Chiefs, Lilepo has already collected silverware, winning the Nedbank Cup in the 2024-25 season. His current market value is estimated at around €700,000, a figure that will form part of any negotiations if Al-Nasr decide to formalise their interest.
With Lilepo tied to Chiefs for another year beyond this season, any deal is likely to require a transfer fee rather than a pre-contract arrangement, leaving the South African club in a strong position as speculation over his future continues.
