Canada-Nigeria centre-forward Oluwabori Falaye has joined Kazakh Premier Liga side Irtysh on a free transfer from Albanian club KF Tirana.
The 27-year-old switches to Kazakhstan after a spell in the Kategoria Superiore, where he led the line for Tirana. The move is a permanent deal, with Irtysh adding an experienced central striker to their attacking options.
Falaye’s arrival comes with an estimated market value of around €100,000, underlining Irtysh’s decision to strengthen without paying a transfer fee. The deal was completed on 17 July 2026, allowing the forward to link up with his new team in time for the remainder of the Premier Liga campaign.
Capable of operating through the middle as a focal point in attack, Falaye now moves into a new league after his stint in Albania. His time at KF Tirana gave him exposure to top-flight European football and regular competition in a title-contending environment.
Born in 1999 and eligible for both Canada and Nigeria, Falaye adds an international dimension to Irtysh’s squad profile. The club will look to his experience abroad to bring a different style and presence to their forward line.
Falaye’s transfer from KF Tirana to Irtysh is confirmed as a free move, marking his first venture into the Kazakhstan Premier Liga.
