Borussia Dortmund have entered the race to sign Ivory Coast international Bazoumana Toure, with the Bundesliga giants joining Liverpool and Atletico Madrid in pursuit of the highly rated Hoffenheim winger.
According to Bild, Dortmund have identified the 20-year-old as a potential attacking reinforcement following his impressive breakthrough campaign in the Bundesliga.
Toure enjoyed an outstanding 2025/26 season, registering five goals and 12 assists in 30 league appearances to establish himself as one of the division’s most exciting young attacking talents.
His performances also earned him a place in Ivory Coast’s squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, where the Elephants reached the Round of 32 before being eliminated by Norway.
The Ivorian winger began his career at ASEC Mimosas, progressing through the club’s renowned youth academy before making his senior debut in 2022.
He joined Hoffenheim on 1 February 2025 in a deal reportedly worth €14 million, with a further €2 million in performance-related bonuses.
Toure adapted quickly to German football and announced himself by scoring his first Bundesliga goal in Hoffenheim’s 3-0 victory away to St. Pauli, beginning a breakthrough spell that significantly enhanced his reputation across Europe.
His pace, creativity and ability to influence matches from wide areas have attracted the attention of several top clubs, with Liverpool, Atletico Madrid and now Borussia Dortmund all monitoring his situation ahead of the summer transfer window.
Hoffenheim are understood to value the winger at around €40 million and are not expected to allow him to leave cheaply after just one full season at the club.
With interest continuing to grow, Toure is emerging as one of the most sought-after young African players on the European transfer market, setting up what could become one of the summer’s most closely watched transfer battles.
