Moroccan international Soufiane Rahimi has revealed his desire to return to boyhood club Raja Casablanca in the future, admitting that one of his biggest ambitions is to help the club conquer Africa.
Speaking during an appearance on the “Rebelai” programme on Morocco’s second television channel, the Al Ain FC winger spoke emotionally about his attachment to Raja Casablanca, where he first rose to prominence before moving abroad.
Rahimi said he hopes to wear the Raja shirt again one day and guide the Moroccan giants to CAF Champions League success.
The forward’s comments are expected to excite Raja supporters, many of whom still consider him one of the club’s most beloved modern stars after his successful spell in Casablanca.
Rahimi also discussed his long-term ambitions in football, insisting that age should not prevent players from continuing to compete at the highest level.
The Moroccan international pointed to football icons such as Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi and Luka Modrić as examples of players who continue performing despite advancing in age.
Inspired by those veterans, Rahimi revealed that he hopes to extend his own playing career until the age of 40.
The winger’s ambitions come after another impressive campaign with Al Ain, where he played a major role in helping the club secure both the domestic league and cup titles this season.
His consistent performances in the United Arab Emirates have continued to strengthen his reputation as one of Morocco’s most influential players abroad.
Despite his success overseas, Rahimi’s latest comments underline the strong emotional connection he still maintains with Raja Casablanca and his dream of eventually returning to the club to chase continental glory.
