Olympique Safi and RS Berkane cruise into Moroccan Throne Cup Round of 16

Olympique Safi and RS Berkane both secured convincing victories on Saturday evening to book their places in the Round of 16 of the Moroccan Throne Cup.

At Al Massira Stadium, Olympique Safi delivered a dominant display against Olympique Dcheira in their Round of 32 encounter.

The Safi-based side controlled much of the match and showcased their attacking quality throughout the contest before sealing a comfortable 3-0 victory.

Habsi opened the scoring after a strong start from the home side, giving Olympique Safi an early advantage and immediately placing pressure on the visitors.

The hosts continued to dominate possession and create chances, with their movement in attack causing constant problems for Olympique Dcheira’s defence.

Nkouma added the second goal to strengthen Safi’s control of the game before Njari completed the victory with a third goal that put the result beyond doubt.

The win sends Olympique Safi into the next round full of confidence as they continue their pursuit of success in one of Morocco’s most prestigious domestic competitions.

In the evening’s second fixture, RS Berkane also advanced after defeating second-division side Wydad Fes 3-1.

Despite facing determined resistance from the visitors, Berkane’s experience and attacking strength ultimately proved decisive.

The hosts played with intensity from the opening minutes and repeatedly threatened in the final third through quick transitions and clinical finishing.

Although Wydad Fes managed to find the net once during the encounter, it was not enough to prevent RS Berkane from progressing comfortably to the Round of 16.

The latest result continues a strong run for Berkane, who have established themselves among Morocco’s leading clubs through consistent domestic and continental performances in recent years.

Both Olympique Safi and RS Berkane will now await the Round of 16 draw as they continue their pursuit of Throne Cup glory.
