Paris secured a 3-1 home victory over Monaco in the ninth round of the French championship, taking control of the match with two goals late in the first half.
Paris gradually established the initiative and were rewarded in the 38th minute when Sinayoko opened the scoring. The forward struck again four minutes later, extending the hosts’ advantage to 2-0 and giving Monaco a significant deficit to overcome before the interval.
Monaco responded with greater urgency after the break and reduced the gap in the 66th minute. Folarin Balogun’s goal made it 2-1 and briefly restored uncertainty to the contest.
The visitors were unable to build on that momentum, however. Pablo Pagis restored Paris’ two-goal lead in the 74th minute, effectively settling the outcome. Neither side added to the score during the remainder of the match.
