Egyptian central midfielder Ziad Shaker has joined A. Abo Qir on a free transfer from Pyramids FC U21. The 20-year-old moves into the senior game with the Premier League club after completing his switch on 23 July 2026.
Shaker, who plays primarily as a central midfielder and favours his right foot, steps up from youth level as he links up with his new side ahead of the 2026-27 campaign. The deal sees him leave the Pyramids FC youth set-up, where he had been developing in the under-21 ranks.
Born on 10 March 2006, Shaker is at an age where he can bridge the gap between youth and first-team football, offering A. Abo Qir an option in the middle of the pitch. His arrival comes as part of the club’s preparations for the new season, with the move confirmed ahead of the domestic campaign getting under way.
The transfer marks the latest stage in Shaker’s progression through Egyptian football, as he swaps an academy environment for a senior squad berth. His time at Pyramids FC U21 provided his grounding in competitive youth football before this first major move of his career.
Shaker now begins the next chapter of his development at A. Abo Qir, having completed his free transfer from Pyramids FC U21.
