German-Moroccan attacking midfielder Zakaria Marjane has joined Spanish club Tomares from Hanauer SC 1960 on a free transfer.
The 20-year-old, who was born in Hanau, has agreed a contract with Tomares running until 30 June 2027. Marjane is a right-footed attacking midfielder and moves to Spain after spending the previous season with Hanauer SC 1960 in the Hessenliga.
Marjane made his latest club switch on 24 August 2026, beginning a new chapter after 18 months with Hanauer SC 1960. He joined the German side from Heerenveen Under-18s on 1 January 2025, also on a free transfer.
Before moving to the Netherlands, Marjane came through the youth system at Frankfurt. He joined Frankfurt Under-17s from Frankfurt’s youth set-up in July 2021, having initially entered the club’s academy from FSV Frankfurt’s youth ranks in 2017.
His move to Tomares adds a player with experience of academies in both Germany and the Netherlands to the club’s midfield options. Marjane’s listed primary role is attacking midfield, where his stronger right foot is his preferred side.
The transfer comes at the beginning of the 2026-27 campaign. Marjane has not yet made an appearance in the Hessenliga this season, with the move taking place after the opening five possible matches recorded for the competition.
Marjane holds German and Moroccan nationality and was born in Hanau, Germany. His progression has included spells with FSV Frankfurt’s youth teams, Frankfurt, Heerenveen Under-18s and Hanauer SC 1960 before his move to Tomares.
The transfer was completed on 24 August 2026.
