Moroccan goalkeeper Youssef Laghzal has left Ittihad Tanger and is now a free agent after his departure from the Botola Pro Inwi club was confirmed on 22 July 2026.
The 25-year-old, born in Fes, comes onto the market with a reported market value of €50,000 after spending last season with the Tangier side. His exit ends a spell that began when he joined Ittihad Tanger from Union Touarga in August 2023 on a free transfer.
Laghzal, whose main position is in goal, now finds himself without a club for the first time since emerging in Moroccan senior football. His status opens up the possibility of a move elsewhere domestically or abroad, with teams able to sign him outside of standard transfer windows due to his free-agent status.
Before his time in Tangier, Laghzal built his career within Moroccan football, moving from AM Football to Union Touarga in November 2020. During the 2021-22 season he also spent a loan spell at Wydad Fes, briefly returning to his home city before rejoining Union Touarga when that loan ended in June 2022.
Laghzal’s progression through several clubs in Morocco’s professional structure has given him experience across different environments in the national game, and his latest move marks a new phase as he seeks the next step in his career.
The goalkeeper is officially unattached following the completion of his move away from Ittihad Tanger on a free transfer.
