Senegal striker Papa Gaye has left Moroccan side Ittihad Tanger and is now a free agent after his departure was finalised on 22 July 2026.
The 20-year-old centre-forward moves on after one season in the Botola Pro Inwi, where he gained his first taste of senior top-flight football. His market value is currently listed at €300,000 following his exit from the Tanger club.
Gaye joined Ittihad Tanger in August 2025 from AF Darou Salam, having previously spent time on loan at Swiss side FC Sion’s under-21 team. Born in Guediawaye on 15 May 2006, he has developed his career between Senegal, Switzerland and Morocco over the last two seasons.
During his spell in Morocco’s top division, Gaye made 20 league appearances and scored two goals, adding one further outing in the Coupe du Trone. Across his senior club career so far, he has also recorded two goals in 14 matches in the Swiss third tier and struck twice in five games in the U19 Elite League.
Operating primarily as a central striker, Gaye’s experience across different competitions at a young age has already given him close to 2,300 minutes of competitive football at club level. His departure from Ittihad Tanger marks the end of his first chapter in North African football.
The Senegalese forward’s contract has now ended, confirming his status as without a club following his exit from Ittihad Tanger.
