Ghanaian midfielder Caleb Yirenkyi made a promising first appearance for Coventry City, registering an assist during the English club’s pre-season friendly against French side AS Monaco.
The youngster was given an opportunity to feature in a more advanced attacking position and quickly showed his willingness to influence the game. Although he was unable to score, Yirenkyi came close to marking his first appearance for Coventry with a goal.
The Ghanaian produced an effort that threatened the Monaco goal, but the French side’s goalkeeper was able to prevent him from finding the net.
