Tanzanian club Yanga SC have confirmed the return of Sead Ramovic as their head coach, replacing South African Manqoba Mngqithi.
The Young Africans have made the change at a crucial point in the season, turning to a familiar figure as they pursue success in Africa and prepare for the demands of top-level competition.
Ramovic’s return follows the draw for the CAF Champions League group stage, which placed Yanga SC in a particularly challenging section. Club officials believe the coach’s experience, discipline and detailed knowledge of the institution give him the strongest chance of guiding the team through the group.
The appointment represents a significant change in direction for the club, which had been under Mngqithi’s management. Yanga SC now expect Ramovic to bring back the winning mentality they consider essential for facing a group containing formidable opponents.
The coach will be tasked with making an immediate impact as the Tanzanian side seeks to secure qualification from a demanding CAF Champions League campaign.
