Wales defender Rollin Menayese has joined Worksop on a free transfer from National League North rivals Macclesfield. The 28-year-old centre-back moves across the division as a permanent signing, strengthening Worksop’s options at the heart of their defence ahead of the new campaign.
Menayese, who is also eligible to represent DR Congo, leaves Macclesfield after a spell with the Cheshire club in the sixth tier of English football. His switch keeps him in the same division, with Worksop and Macclesfield both competing in the National League North.
Primarily a central defender, Menayese brings experience at the back to a Worksop side aiming to establish themselves firmly at this level. At 28, he arrives in what is typically considered a defender’s peak years, offering both physical presence and know-how against familiar opposition.
The move also marks a notable piece of business within the division, with Worksop recruiting directly from a league rival without a transfer fee changing hands. Menayese’s knowledge of the National League North environment is expected to help him settle quickly into his new surroundings.
Menayese’s transfer was finalised on 27 July 2026, confirming his status as a Worksop player on a free transfer from Macclesfield.
