Florian Wirtz says new Germany head coach Klopp has quickly earned the trust of the squad through his communication and ability to make every player feel important.
The Germany midfielder told RTL/Sky Sport that Klopp regularly takes the initiative to speak to players individually, helping them feel they belong in the national team.
“Klopp maintains excellent communication with every player. He proactively approaches each individual, making everyone feel important and worthy of being part of the national team. Making every player feel valued is crucial, and I believe Klopp is truly a master in this regard,” Wirtz said.
Klopp’s leadership has also impressed Said-Marah, who made his Germany debut against Serbia. The forward praised the coach’s direct approach and pointed to his record of success with Borussia Dortmund and Liverpool.
“He is simply a coach who is open and straightforward with players. We shouldn’t downplay this: he has had an incredibly successful coaching career,” Said-Marah said.
He added that Klopp had already created a strong sense of unity within the squad.
“Klopp is very close to us, making everyone feel like they are part of the team. The way he talks to us, the way he motivates us, whether before a match or during the week’s training, feels great.”
Klopp’s focus on personal communication has been a central feature of his early work with Germany, with both players highlighting the importance of his motivational style.
Germany now turn their attention to an away fixture against Greece. Wirtz said the team’s immediate priority was to continue progressing while also securing another victory.
“Most importantly, we are moving in the right direction and becoming a better team. But we play to win because we naturally want to continue improving our group standing,” he said.
