Wilfred Ndidi, the Nigeria international midfielder currently at Besiktas, is being linked with a move to Saudi Pro League side Al-Ittihad. The 29-year-old defensive midfielder has yet to feature in Besiktas’ UEFA Europa League qualifying campaign this season but remains a key asset under contract at the Turkish club.
Besiktas signed Ndidi from Leicester City on 7 August 2025 for a reported fee of €8m, at a time when his market value was estimated at €15m. His current valuation stands at around €8m, a figure that is expected to shape any negotiations with Al-Ittihad as Saudi clubs continue to explore established European-based players.
Ndidi is under contract in Istanbul until 30 June 2028, meaning Besiktas are under no pressure to sell and would be in a strong position to demand a significant fee if Al-Ittihad decide to formalise their interest. The midfielder, who was born in Lagos and holds both Nigerian and English nationality, wears the number 4 shirt for the Turkish Super Lig side.
The former Leicester City player enjoyed notable success in England, winning the FA Cup in 2021 during his time at the King Power Stadium. His move to Besiktas marked the first major step of his career outside English football since leaving Genk in 2017.
For now, Ndidi remains a Besiktas player with three years left on his deal, and any move to Al-Ittihad would require an agreement between the clubs rather than a free transfer.
