Portugal and Guinea-Bissau winger Vlad has joined Celta de Vigo from Pacos Ferreira on loan, completing a move from Portugal’s Liga 3 to Spain’s LaLiga at the age of 17.
The left winger’s switch was completed on 4 August 2026, with the loan scheduled to run until 30 June 2027. Vlad’s contract with Celta is listed through the same date, and he will return to Pacos Ferreira when the temporary move ends.
Vlad arrives in Vigo after making 26 appearances in Liga Portugal 2 for Pacos Ferreira during the 2025-26 season. He scored once and provided one assist, playing 908 minutes in the competition. He also featured twice in the Taca de Portugal, accumulating 60 minutes.
Born in Bissau on 19 March 2009, Vlad holds Portuguese and Guinea-Bissau nationality. He is 1.74m tall and operates primarily on the left side of attack, with his left foot listed as his preferred foot.
His progression at Pacos Ferreira followed a clear youth pathway. He joined the club’s under-19 side from the under-17 team in July 2024, before moving into the senior Pacos Ferreira squad in July 2025. That route preceded his first extended campaign in Liga Portugal 2 and his subsequent move to Celta.
The transfer takes Vlad into a different domestic setting, with Celta competing in LaLiga after his previous season in Portugal’s second-tier competition. The deal represents a temporary change of club rather than a permanent transfer, while keeping Pacos Ferreira as his parent club beyond the loan period.
Vlad’s listed market value is €700,000, and the 17-year-old has now begun his spell with Celta de Vigo under an agreement that runs until the end of June 2027.
